Our Story

Just Men in Recovery was formed in 1996, When a group of Men whose home group was at the Miracles Club, took the idea from the group Women of Spiritual Walkers. After two years of using the name Men of Spiritual Walkers the group became Just Men in Recovery in 1998.

Annual Men Retreats

JMIR has historically provided 2 annual recovery retreats and one on one mentoring. Our retreats are generally 3 days long, hosting hundreds of men for fellowship, fun, food, skill-building and relationship development. It is through these community events men in early recovery meet more established JMIR members who have become productive members of society. 

peer support and case management

JMIR offers peer mentoring services that include case management, and resources such support with basic needs and referrals for legal support. 

Yearly Toy Drive

Just Men in Recovery has a toy drive for our brothers who are currently in treatment facility for their children during Christmas time

Recent Events

JMIR held several COVID Vaccination family-friendly event, Complete with Raffle prizes, food, all and along with information vendors concerning Recovery and Substance Abuse. Over 150 Community members joined us our celebration in conducting vaccination, That helped and provided the community with healthy choices.
